1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.

2. In a mixing bowl, cream butter with sugar until fluffy.

3. Add corn syrup and salt; blend well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in pecans.

4. Pour into pie shell and bake for 50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center of the filling comes out clean. Cool and serve with whipped cream.
